Equidistant from the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, California, the city of San Clemente rests at the 
southernmost tip of Orange County. The vision of Ole Hanson (1874 - 1940), a real estate developer and politician, the city was to be a Spanish-style seaside resort; a haven for those who had tired of “big city living.” Hanson succeeded, and the city of San Clemente incorporated on February 27, 1928.
